Video musik Nicki Minaj,Stupid Hoe telah dilarang untuk ditampilkan dalam BET, menurut TMZ.com. Mereka memposting Kamis (2/2), mengkonfirmasi bahwa jaringan tersebut menolak untuk menayangkan video penuh warna itu.
Dilansir contactmusic.com, TMZ berbicara sebagai perwakilan BET dan meskipun mereka belum merilis pernyataan resmi mengapa video itu dilarang, namun mereka melaporkan bahwa video itu terlalu eksplisit untuk tayang di TV.
Lirik lagu itu, tidak diragukan lagi cukup mengganggu. Di mana dirinya mengulangi kalimat, “Kau adalah stupid hoe, kau dan kau adalah stupid hoe,” berulang kali di seluruh lagu dan bahkan menggunakan kalimat b””ch, Video itu juga menampilkan Minaj dengan berbagai jenis wig dan pakaian, olahraga, dan make up terang serta terkadang gambar digital yang terlalu sering berganti dan membuat pusing.
Dirinya juga menari dan dalam satu scene tampak menggeliat di sebuah kandang dengan kostum bermotif leopard. Sementara itu berita lain menyebutkan bahwa Minajakan tampil live dalam acara Super Bowl akhir pekan ini.
Pelantun Super Bass ini juga dijadwalkan akan tampil dalam beberapa event besar yang di mana Madonna dan M.I.A juga hadir. Dan meskipun belum jelas, apakah Minaj akan menampilkan Stupid Hoe dalam acara itu atau memilih jalur yang lebih tenang.
Media Daily Mail juga menyebutkan bahwa Minaj kemungkinan besar ada dalam daftarSimon Cowell untuk menjadi salah satu juri baru X Factor, selain Katy Perry dan Mariah Carey.
